Time/Speed/Distance (TSD) Rallying is the legal, fun, and safe way to get into rallying in Saskatchewan.
The QCMA has recently changed to the regularity format which mirrors the format of a stage rally by having scored stages linked by unscored transit stages. Average speeds are always within posted speed limits (10% under posted speed), and since the road is not closed to the public, teams must obey all traffic laws at all times.
The route usually follows roads that are similar to those used in performance rallies: narrow winding roads, grid roads, dirt roads, and other less-traveled roads. Route finding is generally not difficult, but the navigator has a lot of work to do to keep the driver on time.
TSD events are designed as an entry level sport, and therefore there is no need for the vehicle to be specially prepared. Any vehicle in good working order would be fine. Following through the recommended guides for what to take, and how to prepare for an event are highly recommended.
Here are two great sites with tons of information provided by our sister clubs in BC and Alberta.
